Surfactants and Detergents - Researchers' Work from Amirkabir University of Technology Focuses on Surfactants and Detergents
2012 NOV 5 (VerticalNews) -- By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Nanotechnology Weekly -- Investigators publish new report on Surfactants and Detergents. According to news reporting out of Tehran, Iran, by VerticalNews editors, research stated, "In this study palmitoyl piperidinium chloride and stearoyl piperidinium chloride surfactants were synthesized by two steps. The synthesized products in each step were analyzed by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry (FTIR), and elemental analysis. ...read more
Surfactants and Detergents - New surfactants and detergents study findings have been reported by X.M. Tai and co-researchers
2009 NOV 30 - (VerticalNews.com) -- According to recent research from Taiyuan, People's Republic of China, "Using Tetrabutyl titanate (TBOT) as titanium source, the nanocrystal TiO2 was synthesized via hydrolysis deposition processing in cationic surfactant system at room temperature. The synthesized products were characterized by TEM and XRD."
"Photocatalytic degrade to NPE-10, phenol and DBS in solar irradiating were studied, respectively. The TiO2 powder showed excellent photocatalytic property. It was different to degrade three substances," wrote X.M. Tai and colleagues ...read more
Surfactants and Detergents - New surfactants and detergents study results from Nanjing Normal University described
2009 OCT 26 - (VerticalNews.com) -- "A new method of preparation of nanocapsules (NC) in a microemulsion (ME) is introduced in this paper. An oil-in-water (O/W) ME was used as the template to prepare NC with diameters below 100 nm by complex coacervation of acacia and gelatin," investigators in Nanjing, People's Republic of China report.
"The effects of ME composition, polymer concentration, and the conditions of complex coacervation on the properties of the NC were investigated. Increasing the polymer content of gelatin and acacia in ME led to an increase of the size of the NC. The zeta potential of the NC is between -18 and -28 mV," wrote Y.Y. Zhu and colleagues, Nanjing Normal University ...read more
Surfactants and Detergents - Findings from University of Potsdam provide new insights into surfactants and detergents
2009 FEB 16 - (VerticalNews.com) -- "Polymer-modified microemulsions can be obtained by adding polymers to a mixture consisting of water, oil, and a cosurfactant. in dependence on the type of polymer used quite different effects can be observed. on the one hand water soluble polymers can be incorporated into the individual water droplets of a water-in-oil microemulsion, or into droplet clusters, and on the other hand they can induce the formation of a sponge phase, that means a bicontinuous microemulsion," researchers in Haus, Germany report ...read more
